Estate::

The Tenuta di Renieri is the Chianti-area wine estate of the Montalcino winery, located in the commune of Castelnuovo Berardenga. The property, contiguous with the Castello di Bossi vineyards, covers some 60 hectares, with 22 planted to vineyards, and specialises in Chianti Classico and Chianti Classico Riserva. Facing south, the vineyards are planted in soils that vary from yellow clays to tufa, with an abundant mixture of rounded pebbles, which ensure good, natural drainage.

The Chianti Classico Tenuta di Renieri is a Classic Classico tipical from Castelnuovo Berardenga region.

Castelnuovo Berardenga is the most south Comune in the Chianti Classico only 30 km from the Brunello di Montalcino appellation. Here the mild climate gives them the opportunity to make wines that are more friendly without blending the Sangiovese with other international varietals.

This Chianti Classico is 100% Sangiovese with 12 months of ageing in the traditional 60 Hl wooden casks. It has produced with sustainable agriculture and has been organic for about 3 years ago. The wine is fermented with natural yeasts which give more complexity to the wine.

Every harvest the target is to have a very balanced wine with the right complexity and a good acidity. If the vintage is not reaching the winery’s quality standards the wine won’t be released to the market.
