Family estate, owners of 300 hectares in Orbetello (Maremma Toscana).
Currently 14 hectares of the farm are dedicated to hight quality wine production. A surface of 6 hectares is cultivated with Vermentino and Viognier and 7 ha with Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese and Petit Verdot.
Soil is made of silt and sand, with a clay loam rich in skeleton and with an excellent drainage. Vines face south-south west, 50 m above sea level.
85% Cabernet Sauvignon
15% Petit Verdot (7000 kg per ha).
Destemming, pressing and fermentation in steel tanks at a controlled temperature.
After malolactic fermentation in steel, the wine is left to mature on its lees for approximately ten months both in second passage barriques and in steel tanks and further fining takes place in the bottle for 3 months.
The colour is intense, with purplish glints.
Fruity, reminiscent of small red fruits mixed with notes of spices and leather.
Full, soft and persistent on the palate.
