Mont Gravet IGP Côtes de Gascogne
South West :: France
The southern French appellation “Côtes de Gascogne” is ideal for viticulture. Mosaics that still illustrate wine-growing were found at the excavation of the ancient villa “Séviac” that traces back to the 4th century. Mont Gravet comes from vineyards located in the Gascony region, near the city of Toulouse in the South West of France. The climate combines the Oceanic and Mediterranean influences, which brings enough sun and humidity to grow rich, concentrated and ripe grapes.
100 % Colombard
The grapes first undergo six hours of skin-contact for maximum extraction. After a gentle pressing, the fermentation is carried out at cold temperatures enhancing the subtle fruit flavours.
Three months ageing on the fine lees provides great smooth mouthfeel of the wine.
Bright, lemon yellow.
Ripe peach, hint of elderflower and herbal notes.
Serve chilled with spicy cuisine, risotto and mushrooms, grilled chicken, seafood.
