Domaine Hamelin

Domaine Hamelin was started in the 1840s by Gustave Hamelin. Today, Thierry and his son Charles carry on the family’s wine growing tradition. The knowledge handed down from generation to generation is a mix of old traditions and modern-day techniques. The domaine’s focus is on Chablis wines that are true expressions of place. Domaine Hamelin is a multiple award-winning winery offering benchmark and exceptional quality wines from very old vines.

Grape varieties::

100% Chardonnay from vines located on very steep south-facing slopes that were planted between 1980 and 1982.


Aged for 12 to 18 months in stainless steel vats before bottling. Can be enjoyed now as it has plenty of richness and fruit.It will continue to evolve nicely under proper cellar conditions.


Pale straw, gold.


The nose is very fresh, lively and mineral with flint, green apple, lemon, underbrush and field mushroom.


On the palate it joins ripe, generous but fresh fruit with a pithy, lemony and bright texture. The wine offers concentration, poise and balancing freshness.

Food pairing::

Can be enjoyed with white meat, seafood and is recommended with cheese.
