Vignobles Jean-Bernard Saby & Fils
The Saby family vineyard properties in Libourne have been passed down through nine generations since Jean Saby started this dynasty of great wine makers in the XVIII century. Château Rozier, Château Saint André Corbin and Château Hauchat are the three key pieces in a remarkable viticultural patrimony that has been in the hands of the Saby family since 1775. Today, Jean-Bernard Saby, a worthy successor, has modernized the various family properties located in Saint-Émilion and Fronsac. The ninth generation, Jean-Christophe and Jean-Phillippe, both oenologists, apply their new skills, while still respecting the tradition and know-how of their father and grandfather. The 62 hectares of vineyards yield vintage after vintage of well structured wines that are enhanced by their perfectly absorbed tannins. The Saby family wines regularly make the headlines, both in competitions and in the press.
The extremely popular Château Hauchat Fronsac 2013 is currently available, LCBO#123489, at $16.95
