Kono wine is made from carefully selected vineyards in Marlborough-New Zealand’s pre-eminent wine region. The grapes are grown with soil knowledge and cultivation methods passed down from our Maori forbearers. This gift of knowledge and rich, unspoiled lands create wines of personality and purity.
Kono vineyards are certified by Sustainable Winegrowing New Zealand (SWNZ) and CEMARS (Certified Emissions Measurement and Reduction Scheme) certified. This is seen as integral to the values of kaitiakitanga-working with the environment without compromise.
True to Maori culture, we have a strong spiritual connection to everything we grow and a responsibility to ensure our land is passed onto future generations in pristine condition.
