Italy
The Gabutti winery was started in the early 1970s when the Boasso family began making wine from estate-grown grapes. It is named after one of the most famous areas of Barolo, the sub-zone of Gabutti. The family-run winery is managed by Franco Boasso and his sons, Ezio and Claudio, sourcing grapes from its 4.5 hectares of vineyards within the Serralunga district, more specifically in the sub-zones of Gabutti, Meriame and Margheria. Age-worthy wines are produced thanks to green harvesting, great care taken in the vineyard and in selecting the optimal time for harvest. Following a traditional vinification process, the wines are aged in medium-sized barrels made from new wood.
