"Blackish purple. Complete, ripe, seductive fruit on the nose. Very sleek and polished. Pure Margaux! Still very youthful but very promising."  Drink Date: 2022 – 2034, Rating: 16.5+ (Jancis Robinson, April 15, 2016)

VINTAGES  15298 | 750 mL bottle | $19.95 | full-bodied & rich | 92 Jeb Dunnuck

"Black cherries, crushed rocks, peppery herbs, and underbrush notes all emerge from the 2016 Corbières. Made from a tank-aged blend of Mourvèdre, Grenache, and Syrah, it's medium-bodied, beautifully textured and balanced on the palate, with sweet tannins and true Corbières character. It's already drinking nicely but should keep for 3-5 years."  Rating: 92 (Jeb Dunnuck,, July 31, 2018)

"There is some good richness to this Chianti Classico with blackberries, nutmeg, hazelnuts and a touch of spices and Christmas cake. Full body, ripe and round tannins, zesty acidity and a medium to long finish. Drink now."  Score: 93 (James Suckling,, June 30, 2018)

LA CADIERENNE BANDOL ROSÉ GRANDE TRADITION 2019 :: PROVENCE, FRANCE   VINTAGES 119453  | 750 mL bottle | $24.95 | medium-bodied & dry, drink now | 91

"A perennial stalwart and with 2019 in pocket the stars align for Rosé Bandol heaven. Here’s the rub and the balance in extract you desire for the style and the result. Plenty of ripe fruit, early realized and actionable acids, finalized by knowable and wanton balance. Meant and uttered, not to mentioned sipped in the best way. Drink 2020-2022. Tasted June 2020."  Rating: 92 (Michael Godel,, June 2020)

VINTAGES 234955 | 750 mL bottle | $36.95 | Full-bodied & Smooth | 92 Wine Spectator, 91 Jeb Dunnuck, 90 Vinous
"Rich and alluring, with waves of dark plum and warmed raspberry puree gliding through, inlaid with savory, chalky mineral and smoldering tobacco notes. Everything meshes nicely through the lengthy finish. Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre. Best from 2020 through 2028. Score:  92 (James Molesworth,, Sept 30, 2019)

VINTAGES 15183 | 750 mL bottle | $44.95 | full-bodied & rich | drink now or hold | 92 Wine Spectator, Sep 30, 2019
"Juicy and ripe, featuring layers of plum, red currant and raspberry pâte de fruit flavors, lined liberally with sage, bay leaf and tobacco hints. Reveals a flash of brick dust on the finish, which shows good minerally cut. Very solid, with a pleasant old-school hint. Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre. Best from 2020 through 2030."  Score: 92 (James Molesworth,, Sept 30, 2019)

LA HAUTE FÉVRIE MUSCADET SEVRE ET MAINE SUR LIE 2018 :: LOIRE, FRANCE  VINTAGES 390625 | 750 mL bottle | $16.95 | drink now |  90 WineAlign.  "This is really quite terrific wine for the money, in fact, just good wine period, that is, if you take your whites on the leaner, less fruity and more stony side of this the spectrum. This 2018 is quite ripe with its slightly golden-tinged appearance and golden delicious apple aromas, though the variety's acids are more than intact, turning more citris and lemon-flavoured on the palate with notable creamy-lees text and flavour contribution. And then there's the non-fruit side, lightly honeyed and wet rock-flavoured. Great complexity all in all, and a wine with real sense of place. Drink or hold mid-term; I'm guessing this will; turn quite fascinating with bottle age. Tasted August 2020."  Rating:  90  (John Szabo,, August 2020)
